Itinerary Overview
Your first week here will include various meetings and appointments, which will appear on your itinerary and training schedule.
These appointments are mandatory, and may vary depending on your role and program type.

Check-in at Flamingo Crossings Village
Receive your apartment key card and lanyard. Be sure to be photo ready; you will take your company ID photo.

Background check
College and Culinary Programs
Bring an unexpired original government-issued photo ID. You will be digitally fingerprinted. -
International onboarding appointment
Bring original I-9 documentation (no copies), including your passport with visa (US and Canada passport holders do not need a visa), I-797 Approval Notice (Q visa holders only) and a printed copy of I-94. For additional information regarding I-9 completion, click here.

Making the Most of Your Program
This optional class is where you can learn the ins and outs of Disney Programs-exclusive offerings, how to use your self-admission pass and more.
During these days, you may have appointments on your itinerary that are specific to your role or program. Here's what these appointments mean:

3D Imaging (Character Performers)
Those offered a Character Performer role will complete a 3D Image Scan after arriving on their program. During this appointment, a body scan will be performed to ensure that candidates are capable of performing essential job functions safely. Measurements may also be taken, and fitting may be done. We ask that you wear appropriate, form-fitting athletic attire.

Drug screening
Depending on your role, you may be scheduled for a drug screen during your arrival week at one of our nearby CentraCare locations. For this screening, please make sure you are hydrated and able to provide a urine sample at the time of the appointment.

Post Offer Employment Testing (POET)
Your position may require a post-offer employment test designed to measure the physical abilities needed to safely perform your role. These tests simulate the motions and movements performed in a role such as lifting, pushing, pulling and placing items on a shelf. These tests are designed to ensure that candidates are capable of performing essential job functions safely.

Lifeguard swim test
During your swim test, you will be tested on the following:
- Swim 200 yards (183 meters) freestyle or breaststroke
- Retrieve a 10-lb (4.5 kg) brick from the deepest section of the pool (minimum 8 feet/2.4 meters) using a feet-first surface dive
- Tread water with hands out of the water for two minutes
- Vision test

Safety critical screening
Your position may require a post-offer employment test designed to measure the physical abilities needed to safely perform the role. These tests are designed to ensure that candidates are capable of performing essential job functions safely. For this screening, please make sure you are hydrated and able to provide a urine sample at time of the appointment.

These classes are required and considered your first working hours with The Walt Disney Company.
Business Casual attire is required. You must meet the non-costumed guidelines in the Disney Look Book, including the guidelines for hairstyles.
Not meeting all Disney Look guidelines will prevent you from being admitted into the class and, ultimately require you to be rescheduled for another day.

Disney Traditions
How to prepare: business casual attired is required and you must meet the non-costumed guidelines in the Disney Look Book. Bring a government-issued photo ID. Feel free to pack a snack to enjoy during your break.
What to expect: this is your first paid day as a Cast Member. You must ensure you arrive on time. During Traditions, you will receive your company ID. This class can last 4-8 hours – check your itinerary for more information.

Bringing Magic to Life
How to prepare: business casual attired is required and you must meet the non-costumed guidelines in the Disney Look Book. Not meeting all Disney Look guidelines will prevent you from being admitted into the class and, ultimately, require you to be rescheduled for another day.
What to expect: This is a 4-5 hour class. You must arrive on time.

Location training
Your training schedule will contain your schedule for the days following Traditions, as well as more specific details about your work location.
Depending on your assigned role and location, you may have additional role-specific or area-specific training.
Keep in mind that not everyone’s training schedule will look the same.
You will receive this schedule before the end of your arrival day. Not everyone will receive their schedule at the same time.
