your departure checklist

Time flies when you’re having fun and making magic! Are you getting ready to depart from your program? If so, follow the checklist below to ensure you have a smooth and seamless departure:

  • Return your Costumes

Return all costumes to your respective costuming location. The Disney Programs Office will not accept any costume pieces.

Unreturned costume items left on your account could result in a no rehire status with The Walt Disney Company.

  • Turn in your company ID

Your employee ID must be given to your work location leadership team. You may not take your ID with you after your program.

  • Update your mailing address

With Disney: visit Disney Cast Life and log on to D Tools HR > My Address and Home Phone.

With the US Postal Service: you can change your address with the United States Postal Service by visiting their website.

  • Opt in to an emailed W-2

(Optional) Before the end of your program, you have the option elect to have your W-2 form emailed to your personal email rather than mailed to your home address.

If you don't opt into an emailed W-2, your W-2 will be mailed to your home address by the end of January. To opt in for your W-2 to be emailed, please visit Disney Cast Life > D Tools HR and follow the link under the search bar on the homepage.

  • Print your paystubs

This is not a required action to take, but it’s included on this list in case you do need a copy of your paystub for a future employer or tax purposes. You won’t have access to print this when you are no longer an employee, so make sure to print anything you need prior to your departure.

  • Print complimentary admission tickets

Depending on your program type, you might have One-Day Park Hopper Guest Tickets or complimentary tickets. At the end of your program, make sure to check if there are any remaining tickets.

Note that the One-Day Park Hopper Guest Tickets are valid with your Self-Admission Pass for up to 30 days after your program ends and are valid at Walt Disney World theme parks only.

Reminder: you are not eligible for Cast Member discounts after your program ends, and you must be an active Cast Member to use your Disney ID and self-admission/guest/main entrance passes. Upon ending your program, these are no longer valid

  • Understand housing move-out expectations

For residents of Flamingo Crossings Village, their team will send out an email closer to your departure date that includes a list of guidelines and expectations for your move-out day.

  • Understand your rent obligations

If you live at Flamingo Crossings Village, rent is payroll deducted each week and covers your rent for the week prior. Your final rent payment will be reflected on the check the Thursday following your departure date. If you have an outstanding balance, you will receive email instructions on how to pay by credit card.

  • Keep an eye out for your Program Completion Certificate

Your certificate will be emailed to you 1-2 weeks after your departure date. Only those who successfully complete their program will receive a certificate. If you break your program early, you will not receive a certificate.
