Onur Erdogan

Onur Erdogan is the Senior Retail Manager, leading all sales and marketing activities across Türkiye. With over 15 years of experience in the toy industry, he brings a deep understanding of consumer behavior and retail strategy. His day-to-day involves connecting licensees with retailers, aligning on campaigns, and ensuring that every Disney product delivers joy. “We’re only successful when our consumers are the happiest in the world,” Onur notes. For him, success is measured in smiles, like the child who walks out of a store clutching their favorite Disney toy. Moments like these remind him that “at Disney, we don’t just sell products – we create memories that last a lifetime.”

Basak Inceten Uzdil

Basak Inceten Uzdil, Senior Softlines Licensing Manager, oversees Disney’s fashion, home, and beauty categories. Her global career, from New York to London to Istanbul, has shaped her ability to translate international strategies into locally relevant storytelling. One of her proudest moments was bringing to life a Mickey 90th collection with a Turkish designer, blending Disney’s legacy with local culture. “It’s about creating magic that’s both authentic and relevant,” Basak explains. For her, Disney is also deeply personal. Her children and even her newborn nephew are growing up surrounded by Disney stories and merchandise, making the brand part of their everyday lives. As she puts it, “You’re part of something much bigger than yourself—a global legacy that touches the hearts of millions.”

Pınar Bacaksiz

Pınar Bacaksiz, Senior Category Manager for Hardlines, manages major partnerships with both local and global licensees in the Turkish market. Her journey began as a Disney licensee and even earlier, as a child who once wrote on the classroom board, “I’m going to open Disneyland in Türkiye.” Today, she leads innovative collaborations and creates local partnerships. One of her most meaningful moments came during a VoluntEARS visit to a local children’s foundation, where she saw firsthand the emotional power of Disney characters. “What we do is not just commercial—it creates emotional connections,” Pınar says. That belief has guided her throughout her career, inspired by the idea that “when you approach your work with passion, care, and genuine intention, it not only shows—it also inspires others.”

Though their roles differ, all three leaders share a belief in the power of collaboration. Whether it is aligning with global teams, co-developing product lines, or navigating complex retail landscapes, they rely on each other and their extended teams to bring Disney’s magic to life. Their advice for future Disney dreamers? Be curious, stay passionate, and lead with kindness. “Have courage and be kind,” Pınar adds. “And never forget to enjoy the journey.”
