Internships with Impact: 5 Favorite Projects with Disney Interns in Singapore
Disney Internships offer more than just experience; they offer opportunities to learn, grow and create something truly extraordinary! For five interns at The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, their experience has been nothing short of magical. From shaping consumer products to supporting global campaigns, follow along as each intern reflects on a project that left a lasting impact on their professional and personal journey.

Kodi – Publishing Creative and Digital Experience Intern, Disney Consumer Products
For Kodi, creativity is at the heart of every day. As part of the Publishing team, she helps adapt beloved stories into new formats, brainstorms collections and collaborates across markets to inspire fresh publishing ideas.
“It’s inspiring to work with so many teams that are always on the lookout to create special and unforgettable products and experiences. A significant project the Publishing team worked on would be the Disney Cruise Line and Marvel Comics collaboration for a limited-edition comic, Amazing Adventures!”
Her team’s contributions spanned editorial, layout and design support, giving her the chance to see how different lines of business and skillsets came together to bring the project to life. “Recently, we released the line art of the cover page, and seeing how it made headlines on different sites across the world was truly exhilarating. I can’t wait to see the final comic!”

Niharika – Content Security Operations Intern, Disney Entertainment
As a Global Security intern, Niharika’s role blends operations, trainings and stakeholder management—all with the important goal of protecting Disney stories. On any given day, she might draft reports, support production kick-off calls or raise awareness about content security practices.
“I remember working on a project timed with the release of Phineas and Ferb season 5. Just being involved in something tied to a show I had such a connection with growing up—that was a very small, little exciting moment for me! At the end of the day, it’s not just the brand that makes this internship special—it’s how the experience makes you feel. Capable. Curious. And a little more sure of who you’re becoming.”
Beyond those personal connections to shows she grew up with, some of her most meaningful moments came from experiences that highlighted Disney’s impact on others. She recalled being part of a Disney Wish Design Workshop hosted by Make-A-Wish, where she and her peers brainstormed and planned children’s wish days, thinking how to bring their dreams to life in the most meaningful way. “Some of their Disney wishes were so unexpected, things most adults wouldn’t even imagine. And just seeing them describe their wishes with so much excitement and joy reminded me why Disney is so special. It made me feel grateful to be here—like, even if my part is small, I’m contributing to something magical and having an impact.”

Tahirah – Consumer Insights Intern, Disney Consumer Products
As a Consumer Insights intern, Tahirah played a key role in helping the team manage large volumes of data. She helped transform raw data into well-structured inputs that enabled deeper analysis and insights. Her projects ranged from focus groups to long-term studies, often requiring quick synthesis of information to support teams.
“One significant research project I participated in was a qualitative project, where I supported my supervisor by documenting key consumer verbatims during focus groups. My contributions ensured authentic participant feedback was preserved and could inform the broader analysis process. It was incredibly rewarding to observe how the feedback I helped capture fed into the broader insights process and contributed to the final analysis.”
Her internship gave her a first-hand look at how research helps inform product decisions and contributes to larger business strategies. “Ultimately, this internship solidified my passion for consumer insights and their role in driving business success. For me, what sets a Disney internship apart is the people… from my team members who were always willing to teach and support, to the leaders who invested in my growth, it was truly a unique and magical experience.”

Joshua – Integrated Marketing Intern, Disney Entertainment
As an Integrated Marketing intern, Joshua supports both streaming and theatrical releases across the region. His work spans campaign tracking, premium development and coordinating with APAC markets to bring local campaign activations to life.
“I’ve grown up with the brand and as a longtime consumer, it feels like a full circle moment where I now get to be a part of the story and contribute to an amazing legacy.”
One of Joshua’s favorite projects was the opportunity to develop movie premiums for upcoming titles, ranging from apparel, drinkware and collectible items to unique items inspired by the title.
“Development begins with rewatching past titles and researching items that could be relevant for new titles, like Freakier Friday and Tron: Ares. Being able to provide my creative input and ideate concepts for movie premiums that audiences around the globe will be able to enjoy is truly an exciting opportunity as a lifelong Disney fan.”

Milim – Integrated Marketing Intern, Disney Entertainment
“My favorite part of my role is being able to see the entire campaign process, from pre-planning to the actual execution. It is fulfilling being able to observe what once started off as an idea to a full-blown real-life activation that I played a small part in.”
Working in Integrated Marketing, Milim supported fan screenings and campaign activations across Singapore, challenging both her creativity and logistical execution skills. One of her favorite projects was supporting the promotion of Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*.
"I participated in our creative brainstorming session, where the team and I bounced off ideas for both social media and physical activations. I also actively looked out on social media to source out potential invitees who would be keen on attending this preview screening. Additionally, I mainly assisted with the logistics and partner coordination, everything from poster deliveries to cinemas. It gave me a chance to experience both the creative and operational sides of our campaigns.”
