Making Disney Vacation Club Magic at Disneyland Resort and Disney’s Aulani Resort
As this year marks the 70th anniversary of “The Happiest Place on Earth,” we proudly shine a spotlight on Member Experience Integration Manager Christina Bautista, who creates Membership Magic at Disneyland Resort and Disney's Aulani Resort.

This year alone, she’s orchestrated everything from the annual Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic event at Disney California Adventure Park to a toast-worthy mixology meetup inside Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Resort. And with Welcome Home Weeks set to return from Aug.14 - Sept. 16, 2025, with limited-time offerings available to eligible Disney Vacation Club Members at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort and Aulani Resort, she’s in full summer swing, fine-tuning this year’s west coast offerings.
While California is her home turf, Christina doesn’t let the vast Pacific stand in the way of bringing Membership Magic to Member families who call Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas, Ko Olina, Hawai’i “home.” Recent May Day festivities at the resort, for example, invited Members to celebrate the spirit of aloha and island culture through lei making, hula dancing and Hawaiian storytelling. While Disney magic-makers believe in the art of faith, trust and pixie dust, a lot of work unfolds on the way from “dream” to “reality.” And a whole lot of partnership.
“Partnerships are like washing your hands,” Christina said, quoting a fellow leader. “Your left hand has to wash your right hand, and your right hand has to wash your left hand in order for both to be clean.”
From Food & Beverage to Resort Operations to Entertainment to Marketing, Christina works in tandem with partners across The Walt Disney Company to add extra magic to Members’ vacations. At Disneyland Resort, these experiences range from weekly “Disney Vacation Club Adventure Walk” wellness events (energetic walks around and about Disney California
Adventure Park before the park begins its operating day) to the equally wellness-focused “Disney Vacation Club Mindful Morning Magic” events (instructor-led yoga sessions on the Adventure Lawn at the Disneyland Hotel). Other experiences mark magical Member milestones, reserve special Member viewing areas for select nighttime spectaculars or parade performances, and more.

Proud to play a role in Disney Vacation Club’s growing community’s extraordinary milestones – from the opening of its first Member Lounge at Disneyland Resort (Disney Vacation Club Star View Station – A Member Lounge in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park) to the expansion of its available accommodations (with the debut of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel) to the launch of its first in-park Welcome Home Center (Golden Vine House at Disney California Adventure Park) – Christina has been busy.
And that won’t change anytime soon, with Welcome Home Weeks enhancing Membership
Magic at Disneyland Resort with Sweet Stop locations bringing frozen treats to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, and Welcome Home Wednesday Wine Mixers (Member gatherings with complimentary wine, appetizers and live music) returning to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and expanding to Disney's Aulani Resort, where the limited-time celebration also includes the return of the resort’s Hawaiian Art Experience (a Hawaiian language lesson blended with a hands-on fabric stamping activity known as Kapala Ki’i, inspired by the art of Native Hawaiian kapa printing).
“I’m so excited for Welcome Home Weeks and the events we’ve curated,” Christina said. “Our Members have shared time and time again that these Member events make their trips more memorable. It reminds me that Disneyland Resort and Aulani are more than just places to vacation, but places of belonging.”
