1. How did you get your start with Disney? How has your leadership assisted with your professional development?

“I started at Disney as an intern at ESPN during the summer of 2018! After interning that summer in the research department, I was hired on full-time as an ESPN TV account manager, which is where I got my start in Disney Advertising. Leadership has helped me immensely over the course of my career. I would not be where I am today with the help of those mentors who were integral towards furthering my professional development.”

2. What attracted you to work in advertising and the Programmatic team?

“The fast-paced nature and constantly evolving media landscape were two of the main things that made me interested working in the advertising industry. I wanted to work for Disney Advertising, specifically within the Programmatic team, because I recognized that they were a major leader in the industry, not only from a content perspective, but also from the strides they continue to make by investing in Disney’s future as a leader in technology.”

3. What is your favorite Programmatic project or campaign you’ve worked on?

“One of the favorite campaigns I had the pleasure of working on was one of our travel clients who was brand new to advertising programmatically on our platforms. It was extremely rewarding to start by educating them about all our different product offerings to then pitching what makes Disney different when running aside our premium content, audience, and data library.”

1. Tell me about your role and your day-to-day responsibilities!

“I’m a Programmatic Account Executive leading 20+ active advertiser relationships from one of our largest partners. I also manage the relationship with one of our largest advertisers. My role is to enhance existing partnerships and drive new revenue through consultation focused on automation, identity and measurement. This requires extensive product knowledge in Disney’s advanced addressable offering, including the ways advertisers can activate through our programmatic marketplaces, leverage data by using or connecting to Disney’s proprietary audience graph, and the measurement opportunities available to utilize for campaign planning, execution and post-analytics.”

2. How do you and your team collaborate with other teams across Disney Advertising?

“Disney Advertising’s offering boasts an extensive content portfolio which can be consumed across multiple screens and there are countless ways for advertisers to integrate. Effectively synthesizing our offering in response to each advertiser’s goals often requires collaboration with several internal resource teams including Data Science, Entertainment/Sports Marketing, Pricing & Planning, Operations, or Category Insights & Research teams.”

3. What experiences do you get working in Disney Advertising that you wouldn’t get anywhere else?

“Something I feel is unique to Disney Advertising that I’ve benefitted from professionally is the growth offered with internal mobility, both upward and lateral. This September I’ll be celebrating my 10-year anniversary at The Walt Disney Company and I’m proud to say, during this time, I’ve held five different positions on opposite coasts! Each time I’ve accepted a new role, I’ve found it very bittersweet to leave the relationships and camaraderie of my previous team, but I’ve always felt tremendous support to chase my newest curiosity and add to my skillset through a new role.”

1. How did you get your start with Disney? How has your leadership assisted with your professional development?

“I started my career working at an agency which gave me a unique perspective on the industry. In 2021, I joined Disney as a Programmatic Sales Planner and started my time here fully remote. I was thrilled to transition over to Disney since it is home to so many iconic brands, but I was especially excited to move into a programmatic specific role. Leadership has been instrumental in my professional development. Without their guidance, encouragement, and support I would not be where I am today. I have gained so many mentors at Disney that have provided invaluable advice and helped me grow from planning to sales.”

2. What attracted you to work for Disney Advertising and the Programmatic team?

“What attracted me to work for Disney Advertising was all the iconic brands within the Disney portfolio. From Disney+ to ESPN we are truly reaching all audiences out there, with more data precision and less frequency than our competitors. I also love that we get to partner so closely with advertisers and have a real impact on their business. The Programmatic team is leading the way for addressable and seeing unparalleled automated growth. I wanted to be a part of a team that is at the forefront of innovation at this company.”

3. What is your favorite Programmatic project or campaign you’ve worked on?

“My favorite campaign was especially exciting because we ran an interactive unit on ESPN via a programmatic guaranteed deal for the first time ever. The unique and interactive shoppable unit dynamically inserts our advertisers’ QR codes within the CTV environment. The ability to run interactive units via programmatic is a huge win for us this year since we strive to bring parity between direct IO and programmatic deal types. I loved partnering together and working closely with Direct IO, Advanced Operations, and Addressable Solutions to bring this campaign to life.”
