2026 DET Writing Program | Maya Florin

Congratulations to 2026 Disney Program Writer, Maya Florin, who has staffed on Season 2 of ABC/20th’s 9-1-1 NASHVILLE! A queer, Puerto Rican-American writer, Maya earned her BA in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University and went on to work in television and film development at MarVista Entertainment, Skydance Media, and Peacock. She also worked as a TV Lit Coordinator at Buchwald before becoming the Script Coordinator on CBS’ NCIS: ORIGINS. She was also a part of Film Independent’s inaugural Story Residency.
