2026-28 DET Directing Program – Scripted | Nicole Dorsey

Let’s hear it for 26-28 DET Scripted Program Director, Nicole Dorsey, who has been assigned to shadow and direct an episode of ABC/20th’s THE ROOKIE NORTH! An award-winning writer and director working across film, television and commercial platforms, Nicole’s debut feature premiered at TIFF and was named one of Canada’s Top Ten Films of 2019. In Canadian television, Nicole directed the CBC Gem series SOMETHING UNDONE, and produced and directed Canadian series BALESTRA. Her short film, ARLO ALONE, commissioned by Bell Media, screened in competition at the Atlanta Film Festival, was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and took home A&E’s Best Film Award. Nicole has directed commercial campaigns for brands including Nike, Mattel, and Bank of America, and was recognized by AdAge and Free The Bid for her compelling visual work and creative leadership.
