Mana works as an assistant on the Local Content Team helping with the distribution of Disney+. She says, “I am motivated by the realization that I am working with an IP that everyone knows. I know my work will someday lead to enjoyment for many people. I think it is important to shape to something interesting. In this opportunity, I am striving to make the work of Disney+ a wonderful place for more audiences!” She has explored many areas within her work and projects.

At Publishing, Yutaka is helping design special Disney credit cards for a Japanese national brand. When he first joined Disney, he was excited that there was a lot of opportunity to take initiative and embrace a challenge. He mentioned that he got a lot of advice from his leader and was encouraged to always express himself and his opinions, especially when working with other employees from various levels.

Yutaka even got to work with assets from Marvel, an area of Disney that he had always dreamed of working with. He said it an experience he will never forget. “As Hawkeye taught us, taking the first step toward a challenge is important. That first step will make your time at Disney the best it can be!”

Yuta, Trainee with Studio Sales

As a trainee with Studio Sales, Yuta analyzes Japanese market sales data and provides insight from a university student’s perspective. “What motivated me at Disney was to see the passion and dedication of the team in delivering the top-notch entertainment to our customers. And engaging in discussions about the Japanese entertainment industry with my leader also inspired me a lot. Those experiences enriched my 6-month journey well,” he told us.

During their time with Disney, these trainees found a lot of inspiration from their colleagues and the exciting work they were able to be a part of. Yuta hopes that new program applicants take the chance to broaden their horizon. He wanted to share the reminder, “Be studious, be passionate.”

Mana also wanted to share with future applicants, “Don't be afraid of failure. Approach your target with yourself and your goals in mind! Your passion will be conveyed!”
