Honoring Veterans and Military Families at The Walt Disney Company
National Veterans and Military Families Month recognizes the important roles of veterans, active-duty military, their spouses, and families.
Through transformative storytelling and a focused approach, Disney is uniquely positioned to honor the diversity of Veterans and Military Families and increase the visibility of active-duty military and Veteran leaders, employees, talent, and creators.
“As a veteran, I enjoy seeing other’s stories from across the Company. I enjoy their backgrounds and their journeys into and within Disney. I’ve had the honor of seeing several Disney employees come in from different military branches and excel in their new careers within Disney,” shared Sagi Ventura, vice president of sales at Hulu.
By Honoring Veterans and Military Families, we can build awareness and knowledge of active-duty military and Veteran experiences, bring new insights, inspire creativity, and bring an authentic voice to our content, products, and experiences across The Walt Disney Company.
“I love the sense of camaraderie that National Veterans and Military Families month provides. It brings colleagues from all over the country in different businesses together to work towards shared goals. Knowing how hard people are working behind the scenes to recognize and celebrate our veterans and active service members is amazing,” said Keri Willis, director of management operations at ESPN.

At Disney, inclusion is for everyone. Reimagine Tomorrow is our way of celebrating, highlighting, and amplifying underrepresented and untold stories as well as championing the importance of accurate representation in media and entertainment. We are all greater than a single story and we all deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood, not only during heritage months but year-round.
“A reimagined tomorrow is a place where everyone is heard and listened to. A place where we don’t just talk but take action to achieve. Through my upbringing, living in a new country, being in the military and now at Disney, the best results were always achieved when many different voices were able to contribute. Everyone brings their own magic and collectively as a team, we achieve limitless greatness,” added Sagi.
