You might be familiar with the mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, but did you know that there is another trio of sisters that dazzle the Cinderella Castle stage? Jessica, Kelly and Chloe spent their childhood visiting Walt Disney World Resort as a family, watching everything from parades to stage shows, and now they perform in front of hundreds of guests during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

From Childhood Disney Fans to Disney Auditions

“Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to work for Disney in some way,” shared Kelly. “Growing up going to Disney and seeing the shows, I knew it was where I wanted to be. So, when I decided to pursue dance full time and move to Florida, I decided to give Disney Auditions a try.”

“We would visit Disney World as a family growing up and we would watch all the live entertainment at the parks: parades, shows based on movies like ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ ‘The Little Mermaid,’ ‘Finding Nemo.’ You name it, we were seeing it. The magic of the performers is what moved me as a child. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a part of creating that magic for other families,” Jessica said.

The three sisters grew up performing with each other and learned how to collaborate and work well together onstage. From three years old, Chloe and Kelly have spent their life dancing through several different genres. Waking up early for rehearsals and competitions, learning blocking and choreography quickly, practicing facials, lip syncing and performing several times in a day all prepared them to achieve success.

Jessica reflects on how her parents played a huge role in influencing her future as a performer. “There was never a silent moment in the car, driving to dance practice. We would all have our own song that my dad would play in the car. We would sing solos and duets with each other. When prepping for talent shows or performances, we would be in the kitchen with a hairbrush in hand as the imaginary microphone and my parents and siblings would be the audience.”

Three Sisters Build Their Disney Entertainment Careers Together

When deciding to attend a Disney audition, it was an exciting opportunity for the three sisters who grew up singing Disney karaoke in the car and visiting the parks. “I chose Disney because I grew up going to the parks and falling in love with the stories coming to life before my eyes,” shared Kelly. “Making others feel that way is just so magical, and I wanted to do that at the most magical place on earth.”

For Chloe, her older sister Jessica was the one who inspired her to audition. After Jessica attended an audition and received a callback, she talked about the experience and the welcoming environment that the casting team curated. “I just wanted to dance first and foremost, but I didn’t know where to begin in the entertainment industry,” Chloe said. “Jessica’s experience inspired me to create my auditions profile and the rest is history! Disney gave me an opportunity to not only dance but also be part of the stories I grew up with. I’m so glad I chose Disney and I am beyond blessed to share my Disney career with my sisters.”

Performing Together in Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

Being cast in a show alongside their sisters is a dream come true for Jessica, Kelly and Chloe. “We grew up performing with each other, so we collaborate and work well together. My favorite moment in rehearsals was when we did our first ‘sister show’ run. It was so fun finding moments in the show that I could watch them shine! We all got teary eyed at the end,” reminisced Jessica.

From auditions to rehearsals to performing onstage, Kelly expressed, “Seeing each of my sisters doing what we love together just feels like we made it.”

In Chloe’s opinion, the best part of any contract is the rehearsals. She loves getting to learn, create and see a show come to life over a few short weeks. Her fellow castmates became like family, and her favorite moments were getting to watch them shine in their roles by finding new acting choices or improv moments within the show.

“My rehearsal process was honestly so much fun!” shared Kelly. “Getting to be a part of a show like Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular is such an honor and having this be my first role at Disney is so special. From new costumes and getting to learn new choreography, I was always excited for the next rehearsal date. And this cast is truly one of a kind!”

During the rehearsal process, Jessica felt the freedom to explore her role and relationships with others onstage. “I received such great direction from our Show Director, Music Director, Choreographer and Maintenance Choreographers.”

Disney Auditions Advice for Aspiring Performers

For those interested in exploring opportunities to audition with Disney, Chloe’s advice is to “go for it and show up as you are, no matter what. Putting yourself out there can be daunting and auditions can be intimidating, but you never know what an audition has is in store for you until you try. If you’re passionate about what you do and this is what you want, keep putting in the work, keep training, keep going.”

“Audition, audition, audition,” repeated Jessica. “Every ‘no’ brings you closer to the next ‘yes.’ Your confidence and experience will grow the more you put yourself out there in the audition room. You never know when the next callback is the open door for you.”
