Want to continue the magic after your Disney Program comes to an end? Disney Cruise Line is a great next step in your Disney career! You can take the skills you’ve learned while working at Walt Disney World Resort and continue creating amazing guest experiences at sea.

In some ways, you’ll find working for Disney Cruise Line to be very similar to your Disney Program, but there are also elements to life at sea that will be new and different. We’re comparing both experiences below so you can confidently embark on a new career adventure.

Ship Life

  • Making magic aboard Disney Cruise Line ships sailing around the world.
  • Contracts range 4.5-8 months.
  • Typical workdays range from 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • No days off.
  • Crew members receive free housing during their contract, which includes a shared cabin, a 24-hour gym, outdoor deck, and crew-exclusive beach space at our Island Destinations.
  • Disney benefits including medical coverage while on contract, bi-weekly pay and retirement savings plans.

  • Creating magic for guests of all ages.

  • Must be available over holidays, weekends and nights.

Program Life

  • Making magic at Walt Disney World Resort in the Orlando, FL area.
  • Programs range from 4-12 months.
  • Typical work weeks range from 30-50 hours a week.
  • Regular days off.
  • Housing fee for Flamingo Crossings Village residents deducted from your paycheck weekly.
  • Regular learning sessions offered for early career guidance.
  • Program experience advisors and resident advisors available for program assistance.
