FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If I'm not selected this time, when can I audition again?

  • You may only attend extension auditions once every four months.
  • You can audition at any time for non-Disney College Program auditions on DisneyAuditions.com
    • You do not need to attend an audition more than once every six months unless it is a specialty audition (i.e., holiday performer, special event performer, etc.).
    • If you are selected, you will transfer into the role after successfully completing your program. Because of this, we recommend auditioning about 6-8 weeks prior to the end of your program.
    • To move into a part-time or full-time role, you must meet transfer guidelines, have a valid US driver’s license and provide your own housing and transportation.

What happens if I get offered a Character Performer role?

  • Individuals selected for a Character Performer role will be contacted to schedule a 3D Imaging appointment prior to training. You are not guaranteed a Character Performer role until successful completion of this step.
  • Selected individuals will receive a link to the role application and instructions to complete the acceptance process.
    • A $240 Program Participation Fee is due at the time of acceptance, unless you have already accepted a same role/same location extension and paid the Program Participation Fee – you would not need to pay again.
    • If you have a vehicle at Flamingo Crossings Village, you must pay an additional renewal fee for your parking decal.

Can I apply for the other extension opportunities?

  • Yes, you can also apply for other extension opportunities.
    • If you apply for and/or accept an extension in your same role/same location, you will still be considered for a Character Performer extension.
    • Some extension opportunities may require you to commit to your extension role before you know the result of this audition.
    • If you accept one of these offers, you may be removed from consideration for the Character Performer role. Check with the recruiter for the role.

What performance opportunities will I be considered for?

  • Some candidates, once selected, may have the opportunity to perform as a Character Look-Alike.
  • At this time, program participants are only considered for parade and/or show offerings during the holidays.

PLEASE BE AWARE – All performers, including those in our shows and parades and Disney Character Look-Alikes, also perform as fully costumed, sculpted Disney characters.

Do I need a driver's license for the Character Performer role?

  • Disney Program participants do NOT need a valid US driver’s license.
  • For our full-time and part-time Character Performers, a valid US driver's license is required.

If I am offered a Character Performer role, when will I transfer into Entertainment?

  • Your transfer date would be at the end of your current program, provided you meet transfer guidelines (no more than four (4) points and no more than one (1) reprimand within the past six (6) months at the time of transfer).
  • The Entertainment Training team will determine your specific transfer date and communicate it to you through the Disney Programs Recruitment team.
    • Due to business needs and training thresholds, your transfer date into the Character Performer role may not match your current program end date. If so, we will communicate this to you and work with your current area to extend you until your transfer date.

If I am selected, how long will my extension be?

  • During the formal application process, you will be able to select your preferred end date; however, please keep the following in mind:
    • You MUST be able to stay for a full year from your original arrival date.
    • You may not be on any combination of program or internship for more than 12 consecutive months.

Will I be paid for audition time?

  • The audition, any callbacks and the 3D Imaging appointment are done on your own time and are unpaid.

What are the record card guidelines to transfer into a Character Performer role?

  • To be eligible, at the time of transfer, you must have no more than four (4) points and no more than one (1) reprimand within the past six (6) months.
