Fall into fun: Ways to kick your fall Disney Program off to a great start

Leaves are falling, Magic Kingdom Park has been given its festive makeover and best of all, we have welcomed thousands of new participants for our fall programs! Whether you take advantage of one of the many different happenings at Walt Disney World Resort this time of year, or signup for one of our exciting Disney Programs events, there is no shortage of things to look forward to, at the onset of your program! Need some suggestions? No worries. Here’s a list of some ways to fall into fun:

  1. Attend an upcoming Disney Programs offering or event!
September is a jam-packed month for fun happenings. Work on your golfing skills and hit the green at our upcoming Topgolf trip! Golfing not your thing? Meet some new friends, enjoy a cup of coffee and sing your heart out with karaoke at Cool Beans Café later this month. An array of Career Connection offerings, featuring everything from interview tips to résumé writing, will also be offered all month long. Check out the current September Communicator for a full list of programming!
  2. Host an apartment dinner with your new roommates
Hosting a dinner is a great way to bring people together. No matter where you are from, every culture has some type of food that they hold near and dear to their heart. Hosting a potluck-style dinner is a great way to bond with your roommates. Cook up your favorite dish that makes you think of home, share it with your roommates and allow them to get to know a little bit more about you. To add a little extra fun, visit the Disney Learning Center at Vista Way to borrow some board games or movies!
  3. Resort hop around property
What better way to get to know your new home than by exploring everything it has to offer? While you’ll probably want to go to the parks as much as possible, don’t forget about the many resorts that are nestled across property! Make a day out of going and exploring our different resorts. You’d be surprised by what you find! A huge bonus is that each Disney resort has plenty of delicious snacks that you can indulge in if your explorer spirit is working up your appetite.
  4. Attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
From now until Nov. 1, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take over Magic Kingdom Park at night. The Sanderson sisters, plenty of candy and Mickey Mouse in his Halloween best are only a few of the ghoulish delights that await you. Some dates even include a cast member discount, so be sure to check on the HUB or with any Company D location for more details!

There’s so much to explore, regardless of how you spend the first few days of your program! If you ever have any questions about anything, or you just want a suggestion or two, feel free to stop by your Disney Service Center any day of the week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and we will gladly help you out!
