Meet Kylea and Andre, two Disney College Program participants with creative backgrounds and big dreams of continuing their careers with Disney after their programs.
Welcome to season five of our miniseries, where we’ll discuss all things about life on the Disney College Program! For more than 40 years, this unique internship experience has brought magic makers to Walt Disney World® Resort from across the country and many participants go on to have lasting careers with The Walt Disney Company.
Andre works as a seater at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Kylea extended her program and works in VIP Tour Support. They discuss why they decided to apply for the Disney College Program, their career goals, soft skills they have learned on their programs and more!

ABOUT THE GUESTS:

Kylea Heath is from Dickson, TN, and a recent graduate of Christian Brothers University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a concentration in general science and a minor in physics. She is now attending the University of Central Florida to work towards a second Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Kylea has always loved Disney since she watched Lilo and Stitch in theaters and grew fond of Belle from Beauty and the Beast. With her love of Belle, she wanted “adventure in the great wide somewhere.” She applied to the Disney College Program during her Sophomore year at Christian Brothers University. She has now participated in three Disney College Programs during her Disney journey. She is now a VIP Tour Premium Services Support cast member for her Disney College Program Extension. Kylea can have the opportunity to create magic for guests who get to experience the Premium Service side of Disney. After completing her program, she aspires to become an Imagineer for the Walt Disney World Company and create multiple attractions for our guests.

Andre King is from Indianapolis, IN and a graduate of the University of Phoenix, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a Multimedia Concentration. He also graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Media Design at Full Sail University and several certifications in data analytics and project management. Being accepted into the Disney College Program this year is an achievement of persevering through four years of not being accepted. He works in Food and Beverage at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant and Baseline Tap House. Through this program, he is learning the operations and mechanics of several unique Walt Disney World attractions and making unforgettable Disney memories with new friends. After completing his program, he hopes to explore Imagineering, park operations, and corporate opportunities that allow him to utilize his skillset.
