Welcome home: Introducing Flamingo Crossings Village!
For forty years, the Disney College Program has not only been a great work experience but a home-away-from-home for hundreds of thousands of participants. The program has experienced many changes over the years, but this may be the most exciting one yet! ✨
This summer, we are excited to share that the newest members of our Disney Programs family will be the first program participants to live in our new housing community, Flamingo Crossings Village. 🦩 In partnership with American Campus Communities (ACC), the nation’s largest developer of student housing communities, Flamingo Crossings Village provides participants with spacious apartments and numerous amenities that will offer them a comfortable, safe and relaxing living environment right next door to the Walt Disney World® Resort.
Participants will stay in two or four-bedroom apartments with no more than four people in one apartment. All apartments feature hardwood-style floors, stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, a smart TV, and all the needed furniture including beds, couches, tables, chairs, and more. The kitchen comes complete with plates, utensils, cookware, and glassware.
In the future, should two people share a bedroom, we’ve kept your privacy in mind! There are privacy dividers in each shared bedroom to make you feel as at home and comfortable as possible.
In addition, there is plenty of storage space for everyone. Each participant will have their own closet, dresser, lockable drawers, and pantry cabinet. You know what that means – plenty of room for Mickey ears and Disney Parks snacks!
When participants aren’t at work or enjoying the parks, they can find all they need to relax and unwind at Flamingo Crossings Village. Chill out by the walk-in pools, stay fit and healthy in the 12,000 square foot 😱 fitness center (open 24/7!), challenge friends on the numerous athletic courts, grill up some grub at grilling stations and outdoor kitchens, enjoy a s’more or just the atmospheric glow at a fire pit with friends, and so much more!
Still looking for more fun? ACC and the Disney Programs team will host social events, learning activities, and trips to explore Florida. Once on a program, participants should keep an eye out on program communication for these opportunities.
If participants are looking for quiet time, we have spaces for that too. Study rooms and quiet seating spaces are available throughout the property.
Not only will participants enjoy their apartments and amenities, but they will do so in our safest living environment yet. Courtesy officers will be available at all times, blue light safety phones are stationed throughout the property, and apartments, bedrooms, and the general property entrance will be accessible via electronic key cards.
