A self-care Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is here and love is in the air! While the focus is usually on #couplegoals and date night ideas, you should also take this opportunity to treat yourself as well! For many spring arrivals, the first month or two can bring new challenges in work and housing. Use this holiday to re-center yourself and take some time to relax and de-stress from the hectic program environment! Here’s a few ways you can “treat yo self” this Valentine’s Day and during the month of February:
Indulge in a delicious treat
Now, I’m not here to throw off anyone’s health goals for 2019, but there are plenty of delicious goodies at Walt Disney World® Resort that there’s sure to be something to satisfy your taste buds! One treat can’t hurt, right? Whether you opt for a classic, like a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar, or try a new creation at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, there’s something for everyone! Sometimes all it takes is a bar of chocolate to warm your heart.
Search for a one-of-a-kind experience
This is the perfect time to sign-up for an experience that you’ve always wanted to try, but never got around to doing! You could hike the Wild Africa Trek or pamper yourself with a massage at Senses – A Disney Spa. Make this a Valentine’s Day you won’t forget!
Prioritize your favorites
Think of the things that make you the happiest – maybe it’s a quick stroll on Main Street U.S.A, driving with the windows down or listening to your favorite album on repeat! Make time for yourself and prioritize at least one of these activities. It doesn’t have to be an all-day event or expensive experience – just something to make you smile. The important part is that you are taking time out or your day, whether it’s 5 minutes or a few hours, to dedicate to yourself. Remember, your happiness is important!
Celebrate others
If you’re scheduled to work on Valentine’s Day this year don’t fret! This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy everything this holiday has to offer. In fact, you’re in for a treat yourself because you get to share this special holiday with guests. Take time to greet guests, learn about their Valentine’s Day traditions and ask them why they chose to celebrate at the Walt Disney World Resort. Chances are that soon you’ll realize that love, and even magic, is indeed all around! Besides, whose heart isn’t warmed by hearing a real-life Disney love story?
