For the past 30+ years, Disney’s Writing and Directing Programs have served as a launching pad for hundreds of working television writers and directors, including many of the entertainment industry’s most successful showrunners, producers, and episodic directors. As a result of many decades of support, collaboration, and partnership with Disney’s creative executives, showrunners, producers, and senior leaders, these flagship programs have become the Company’s primary resource for identifying and hiring emerging, diverse staff writers and episodic directors on Disney’s scripted and unscripted series.

Disney Entertainment Television (DET) has announced the latest cohorts for the 2024-2025 Directing Program and 2025 Writing Program, two of the entertainment industry’s most impactful talent development initiatives. The programs nurture the next generation of creative talent by connecting emerging writers and directors with opportunities across DET’s scripted and unscripted television slate.
