2025-26 DET Directing Program – Scripted | Vanessa Beletic

Kudos to 2025-26 DET Scripted Program Director, Vanessa Beletic, who has been assigned to shadow-to-direct on Disney Branded Television’s COVEN ACADEMY! Originally from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Vanessa has directed music videos, commercials, short films, and branded content, and began her career as a backup dancer. Her commercial work has been featured during the Emmy’s and on outlets like Conde Nast Entertainment, Fast Company Magazine, Rolling Stone and Complex. She has directed ads for Levi’s, Walmart, Estee Lauder, and Nikon, in addition to a multi-year campaign for Vaseline starring Regina King. An alumnus of the Sony Pictures TV Directing Program and the AFI Directing Workshop for Women, her supernatural thriller EVIL, I and narrative short CATCHING SPIRITS have collectively screened worldwide at 23+ Academy Award & BAFTA qualifying festivals. Her music video for Run the Jewels’ “Ooh-La-La” was nominated for the 2020 MVPA, UKMVA, and the 2021 Libera awards. Congratulations, Vanessa!
