2025-26 DET Directing Program – Unscripted | Sagiv Karpel

We’re thrilled to share that 2025-26 DET Unscripted Program Director, Sagiv Karpel, has directed a segment on Season 34 of ABC’s DANCING WITH THE STARS! A creative producer and director, working across multiple genres of entertainment, Sagiv began his career as a professional dancer. Since making the leap into production, Sagiv has amassed an enviable resume. Specializing in competition shows, Sagiv has served as Creative Producer on some of the biggest brands in television, including 12 seasons at AMERICA’S GOT TALENT, and 6 years at AMERICAN IDOL. His other television credits include multiple seasons of NBC’s WORLD OF DANCE, NBC’s AMERICAN SONG CONTEST, and 3 seasons as Co-EP of HBO’s breakthrough (and first) reality competition, LEGENDARY, among many more. In the live event space, Sagiv has worked on 7 Las Vegas headliner residencies. in 2024, Sagiv achieved his lifelong career dream of stage directing performances for the Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden.
