Congrats to 2023-24 DET Scripted Program Director, Aubrey Smyth

We’re excited to share that 2023-24 DET Scripted Program Director Aubrey Smyth will be directing segments and an episode of ABC’s beloved daytime drama, GENERAL HOSPITAL! She brings over 14 years of experience directing commercials, branded content, narrative and unscripted films and promos, and is excited to transition to episodic television via this program! Aubrey’s branded entertainment documentary, THE NEED TO KNOW, was executive produced by Tribeca Studios and 23andMe in 2019, and her dark comedy film, LIZA ANONYMOUS, had its world premiere at Tribeca in 2021 followed by screenings at 20+ festivals, including Austin Film Festival. In 2023, Aubrey won a Cannes Lions Bronze award for a commercial campaign with FCB Health. Keep up the great work, Aubrey!
