Reasons to extend your Disney College Program

You’ve been having a great time on your Disney College Program, and now it’s time to make that important decision – to extend or not to extend? Here are some great reasons on why you should extend.

More time, more magic!

Extending your Disney College Program gives you the opportunity to experience even more magical moments. By extending your program, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the full range of what Walt Disney World offers, from holiday spectaculars to seasonal festivals to Program Celebration and more!

Take advantage of endless learning possibilities

With more time on your Disney College Program, you can take advantage of even more learning offerings. Explore the wide range of career-focused classes, panel discussions and even try your luck at scoring a spot in one of the exclusive Discover Disney offerings. By extending your program, you will have more time to take what you learn in those classes and apply it to your role. You’ll also have more time to work on reaching 100 hours of learning to earn a Goofy Graduate certificate. Gawrsh!

Explore a whole new role

Did you know? Some roles are exclusively open as extension opportunities. Role availability varies based on need but could include:

  • Minnie Van Associate
  • Premium Services
  • Disney College Program at Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
  • Conservation Education Presenter Intern
  • Guest Relations
  • Horticulture

Expand your network

More time on your program means more time to expand your network, both personally and professionally. You’ll be able to meet more people and make more friends, as well as find more time to attend networking events and set up meet-and-greets.

Are you a current participant interested in extending your program?

Keep an eye on your email! Application dates are based on your departure date, so when it’s time for you to apply, you will receive an email with the application link and deadline information. You can prepare by attending a Resume Writing session to brush up your resume and by talking to Disney Recruiters at Recruiter Office Hours, held weekly at Apprentice Hall. Check DORMS for the dates and times of these sessions.
