Let's face it: Florida is basically the sun's favorite child. With magical moments comes major heat, especially during those sizzling summer months. But don't worry! 1. Hydration Nation

You've heard it before, and we'll say it again: drink water as if it were your job. Florida heat and humidity are no joke, and staying hydrated helps with everything from your energy to your mood. Keep a company-approved, refillable water bottle with you at all times.

Bonus Tip: Add electrolyte packets to your water to elevate your hydration game.

2. SPF is Your BFF

Even if you "don't burn," your skin will thank you later. Sunscreen isn't just for pool days; apply (and reapply!) SPF before heading out, even on cloudy days. A good hat and sunglasses don't hurt, either.

3. Dress Smart = Feel Cool

Lightweight, breathable fabrics like cotton or moisture-wicking materials are a must. When you're off the clock, opt for loose-fitting clothes and light colors to help reflect the sun's rays. Style and function? Yes, please.

4. Schedule Like a Pro

The sun is strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., so try to plan your outdoor adventures in the early morning or evening when possible. And don't underestimate the power of a midday AC break. (EPCOT's Land pavilion, we're looking at you.)

5. Keep Snacks Handy

Working hard and sweating a lot means your body burns through energy faster. Keep heat-friendly snacks in your bag, such as granola bars, trail mix or fruit pouches. You'll be glad you did during those long, magical shifts.

6. Listen to Your Body

Feeling dizzy, nauseous or unusually tired? Don't power through it; those could be signs of heat exhaustion. Let a leader know and take a break in a cool area. Your health and safety are always our top priority.

7. Embrace the Vibe

Florida heat is intense, but it also comes with iconic summer storms, palm trees swaying in the breeze and picture-perfect sunsets. With the right mindset (and maybe a handheld fan), you'll learn to love the tropical vibes that make this program so unforgettable.

Living and working in the Florida heat is an adjustment, but it's also part of what makes your Disney Program so memorable. With a bit of prep and the right mindset, you'll be sweating less and smiling more in no time.
