Richard J. Lee is an award-winning director and producer that has spent the initial part of his career working on 30-second films on the national stage, trying to intersect art and commerce for clients such as Acura, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Nestle, Microsoft, and Intuit. Knowing that commerce generally won, he would like the take a moment to thank you for making that purchase and, at the same time, apologize for taking up space in that box marked “stuff" in your garage.

2026 marks the 14th year Richard has been involved with the Disney Television Discovers Talent Showcase and the second time he has been tapped to direct. He considers his involvement with this program one of the greatest privileges and honors of his career.

Richard’s feature film The Death That Awaits is currently streaming on Tubi and Amazon Prime. He recently completed post-production on the feature film The Quiet Cost and is currently in pre-production on Everything I Didn’t Say, which is set to begin production in 2027.
