Dean Demers leads training initiatives for ESPN NEXT, ensuring both incoming and current Production Assistants are fully prepared to succeed in their assignments. He oversees the integration of emerging platform technologies into training programs, aligning development strategies with ESPN’s multiplatform approach. In addition, Dean focuses on trainer development, equipping them with the leadership skills needed to effectively mentor new hires and cultivate the next generation of leaders.

He brings nearly a decade of experience across research, data analytics, and production including multiple Emmy Awards for work on NFL Live and SportsCenter. A graduate of Gordon College with a Master of Science in Sport Analytics from the University of Mississippi, he combines sharp data fluency with creative production instincts to make data-backed decisions to scale multiplatform training and development programs.

Dean started his professional career as a Video Coordinator for the Arizona Diamondbacks before transitioning to ESPN. During his time at ESPN, he has grown through a series of content-focused roles including Production Assistant, Content Associate, and Content Researcher before moving into his current position as Manager with ESPN NEXT.

A Connecticut native, Dean is proud to continue building his career in his home state.
